Grand Opening Information ~ April 10, 2010

Morgan's Wonderland Grand Opening Countdown!

The Celebration

Our Grand Opening celebration will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010, rain or shine. The festivities will include music, entertainment, and concessions on the grounds surrounding Morgan’s Wonderland from 5 pm -10 pm. This special celebration will be open to the public and will not require online reservations.

As part of the evening’s celebration, there will be an Opening Ceremony from 5 pm - 6pm.  Afterwards, Morgan’s Wonderland will hold an “Open House*,” allowing the public to tour the park for the first time to see all of the ultra-accessible features including playscapes, wheelchair swings, train rides, a carousel, an off-road adventure ride, a fishing wharf, a sensory village… and so much more!

  • Open House* Tours – Inside Morgan’s Wonderland – 6 pm – 10 pm

*Please note - Rides and concessions inside the park will not be open during Open House tours.

Transportation & Parking

There will be No On-site Parking at Morgan’s Wonderland on April 10th.  Off-site parking with shuttles and lift busses will be available throughout the evening  at the adjacent Heroes Stadium and at Blossom Athletic Center.

  • Eastbound on Wurzbach Parkway → take Tool Yard Exit
  • Westbound on Wurzbach Parkway → take Thousand Oaks Exit, continue past Thousand Oaks to Buzzi Way
  • Northbound on I-35 → take the Thousand Oaks/Starlight Terrace Exit, turn left on Wurzbach Parkway access road to Buzzi Way
  • Southbound I-35 → take the O’Conner Exit, turn right to continue to Wurzbach Parkway, take Thousand Oaks Exit, continue past Thousand Oaks to Buzzi Way

VIA & VIATrans

In addition to these shuttle options, VIA bus route 502 serves Morgan's Wonderland.  Route 502 travels from North Star Transit Center along San Pedro and Thousand Oaks to Randolph Park & Ride.  Each bus can accommodate two riders using wheelchairs.  For specific bus schedules please call VIA at 210-362-2020 or go to www.viainfo.net.
